Hello, and welcome to Bicycle Health! Please follow the following guidelines when you pick up your first prescription at the pharmacy.
It can take pharmacies 1-3 hours to process and fill a prescription after your provider places the order. We recommend you do the following before visiting the pharmacy:
Look up your pharmacy’s hours of operation and try to arrive 30 mins prior to closing.
Call your pharmacy to confirm whether your prescription(s) is ready for pick up.
Ask if your insurance will cover medication costs -- you can provide your insurance information over the phone if your pharmacy doesn’t have it already.
Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID with you to pick up your prescription.
Once you have received your prescription, we recommend you do the following before leaving the pharmacy:
Make sure you have the correct prescription including the correct medication, amount, and dose. You can count the tablets or films at the pharmacy counter before you leave.
Remember that you should follow the instructions given by your provider, which may NOT be the same as the instructions on the bottle. If you need a reminder of your medication instructions, please ask us in the Bicycle Health app!
Your pharmacist can advise you on possible side effects of the medication and interactions with other medications you may be taking.
Ask the pharmacist what number you can call if you have further questions after leaving the pharmacy.
