Julie Craig, MD, is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine, and she joined Bicycle Health as a medical provider in November 2020. Julie earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Oregon Health & Science University and completed her residency at Northern New Mexico Family Medicine Residency Program. For many years, Julie has practiced medicine in rural regions of New Mexico with historically high rates of opioid use and overdose, affording her the opportunity to learn treatment for opioid use disorder, harm reduction, and community approaches to addressing addiction. Julie operates from a patient-centered model and strives to reduce harm and stigma, increase the use of evidence-based treatment, and promote the rights and autonomy of people who use drugs. In her free time, Julie enjoys snow sports, hiking, and biking.
