Julio Meza, MD, is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine, and he joined Bicycle Health as a medical provider in March 2019. Julio was born and raised in El Salvador, ultimately pursuing his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Universidad Evangélica de El Salvador School of Medicine. After graduating from medical school, he left El Salvador to pursue his dream of becoming a Family Medicine Physician in the United States. He completed his residency and Addiction Medicine Fellowship with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Department of Family Medicine. In addition to Bicycle Health, Julio serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Addiction and Family Medicine at UCLA Health, and also provides trainings through the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) for providers interested in obtaining buprenorphine waivers. In his free time, Julio enjoys playing soccer, basketball, and videogames with his children.
