Joelle Gelmann is an AANP certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Addictions Advanced Practice Nurse. She graduated from Howard University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and New York University with her Master of Science (specializing in Family Medicine and Palliative Care). In her training and international medical mission work, Joelle became acutely aware how untreated mental illness, substance misuse, and stigma universally impacts people and communities. Joelle has over 9 years of clinical experience in treating children, adolescents and adults with psychiatric and substance use disorders. She is passionate about the integration of primary care, mental healthcare, and substance use treatment. Through empowerment, Joelle helps her patients achieve life balance and coping skills, and to envision the hope and happiness she believes we all deserve. In her spare time, Joelle enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, painting, meditating, and snuggling with her rescue chihuahua.
